Well, we've finally started gaining enough attention to have our first spammers sign up and post porn links here in the off-topic forum.  Suffice to say their accounts and posts were instantly deleted and their IP address perma-banned.  As a consequence, registration is now by approval only - which given the low number of people here may slow things down even more.  But we are here to foster a tight-knit community of serious individuals, so a bit of a slow uptake on members can only be a good thing...

Hopefully this simple measure will decrease the chances of spam or inappropriate promotions being posted here - if you see anything, please do not click on the links provided as you never know what's waiting for you on the other end.
