Here are the Vodou resources - they will be added to as I come across others of quality, feel free to add more that you find...
WebsitesVodoun Culture - Very comprehensive list of Vodou lwa and associated rites/songs
Maya Deren's Divine Horsemen Footage - Bittorent file of Deren's seminal work on Vodou, a must have.
Haitian Vodou - a look at Haitian Vodou from a New Orleans temple (now located temporarily in Atlanta, Georgia); has some good information on initiation into the Haitian tradition.
Erzulie's - Website devoted to the lwa Erzulie, specialises in love potions/spells and other realms that Erzulie looks after. It's a commercial website, but it is a part of the authentic tradition and suitable for the practitioner of Vodou who has difficulty procuring their own items.
Books - If you are writing an academic work on Vodou then you must have read all of these texts to give you a good basis to start from. (Please note that any books purchased through these links help fund G.: L.: P.: through Amazon's affiliate program at no cost to you)
Voodoo in Haiti by Alfred Metraux - the grandaddy of texts on Haitian Vodou, if you have an interest in the topic you must have this book.
Divine Horsemen: The Living Gods of Haiti by Maya Deren - the book that accompanies the film linked above. Primary ethnographic text in relation to Haiti and Vodou. If you are an anthropologist you must read both this and Wade Davis' book; this one should be the priority though.
The Faces of the Gods: Vodou and Roman Catholicism in Haiti by Leslie G. Desmangles - Academic text on Vodou's connection with Catholicism and the syncretic relationship that has developed; another highly regarded book in academic circles.
Tell My Horse: Voodoo and Life in Haiti and Jamaica by Zora Neale Hurston - fantastic autobiographical book; has alot of information on the secret societies that are prevalent within Haitian Vodou. Other works by the same author, many of them fiction, are well regarded.
Secrets of Voodoo by Milo Rigaud - Although the title may make it seem like one of the many tacky books on Vodou, this one actually has some merit to it and has alot of information that is useful to both the curious and the dedicated student.
Passage of Darkness: The Ethnobiology of the Haitian Zombie by Wade Davis - Most people have heard of his book The Serpent and the Rainbow (the book that got myself interested in the topic many years ago), this is the same text with all the added ethnographic information and footnotes that he had to take out to suite a more mainstream audience; this one is recommended for its added attention to detail.
